I don't understand, it sounds like everything there is so expensive you wouldn't be able to afford to buy anything at it? I guess I'm uninformed.

Well many things are expensive such as cars and homes, but lots of day to day stuff is much cheaper such as cell phones, food, transit, so it requires adjustments in life style but hopefully it will be rewarding. Plus there are some extremely well paying jobs, such as bank VPs (more common than you think too) that the average salaries are 160-250K per year with only 10-12% income tax.

It might be a bit of a struggle at first but the longer we are there the more it will be advantageous, hopefully, but we are being realistic in our hopes and goals for the move.

Well seems Singapore does not want me so I guess you guys will be stuck with me for a little while longer My work permit has been denied so it will be too risky to relocate at this point in time, so I will still be your fearless leader for a little while longer as I work on upgrading my education a little.

Lol thanks everyone, think it is primarily down to the fact that my education is a bit lacking compared with my work experience, plus there is pressure in Singapore to reduce the number of foreigners coming in.
