I didnt know the steering thing was in all dodges, I was driving my stepdads 09 cummins on deerfoot and it felt sooo weird.

I'd like that combo too. Although I like the fords.

I've driven titans a few times, I find the throttle really sensitive on those too.

The other thing I really hated about them is when they would kick down, they were so stiff on slippery roads the rear end came out when it shifted down on a hill.

well i went to the dealer i can get into a new dodge sport with leather and a few options for a little over 35, the ford guy didn't have any fx4's on the lot so i didn't really talk to him. not sure what to do yet, i only got a year left to pay off the gti so i might just do that, then buy a used truck for work. who knows i change my mind so often

          Re: What pickup??

I'd just avoid the domestic trucks. Sure they can probably build a truck that's good at haulin' stuff... they have lots of experience. Big displacement engine... yeah they're good at that.

But can they put together a quality interior... no. Do they have consistent quality and good quality control... no. Can you rely on the resale value... no.

All you get with a domestic truck is the big domestic engine and hauling/towing capacity IMO.

Not that I have ever driven trucks.

What about the Ridgeline? I've never owned a truck, but would think if you aren't loading up that bed with a quad/sled/huge welder .. you would be able to make do? too weak? I suggest, as quality is a Honda trademark, and I assume a nicer interior?

                Just a thought.

if the ridgeline wasn't so ugly that would be my first choice as i probably won't haul much more than tools and material. when they make the next gen i'll look at it again. there is a bunch of rattles in my truck, but it's not bad i've had the radio off so i can hear all the noises.

not sure what the 04's are like for interior but I've spent some time in both an 07 Ridgeline and an 08 F150, the F150 had a way nicer interior.

The honda had more crappy hard plastic than the F150.

Also, I might be a bit biased because I own a ford now, but I love love love my expedition. Everything about it.

Congrats on the truck, if you plan to take it to a dealership I recommend Woodridge.

The main purpose of a truck is hauling/towing.

its true, the new ford interiors are like a leather smoking room. tons of space and good finish.

i like the look and headlights on the new dodge rams..

fords may even be the best bet right now.. they seem to have gone up in quality across the board in the last few years.. i don't really heard found on road dead crap anymore from the brand

ford is possibly the new way to go with everything. i'm overly impressed with the majority of their line up.

                              EDIT

                              unlike the flames' line up.
