No big deal, I am not taking exception to anything "you" posted, I have talked to Prince, warranty is 1 year
I may appear to be nice, but don't be fooled, I probably don't like you

DJ, it may be well worth your while to talk to Chance. IIRC , he was talking about running newer upgraded pumps on his systems. If nothing else, he'll probably give you some kind of discount on a newer one. He's pretty good about that kind of stuff.

If you had water leaking into the motor it would short out and blow fuses right away. Thats common sense.

                  LOL.

first i wasn't "bad mouthing" anything. you'll know when i start doing that dont worry. it's just kinda shitty that a product would eat itself from the inside out, and the pumps they (Vast or devil's own) can't hold up to the use, maybe because it is being used for something it never was intended for. Combine that with the other negative feedback i've been seeing on some of their stuff lately and i dont know if i'm willing to take the chance to try their products when i could get something that i know will work. But thats a totally different area of discussion....but judging by the reaction, its a sensitive issue so i know i cant be the only one with these thoughts.

Mister T.... I'm surprised to see you have time to even be on the forums. I thought you would be scripting a letter to bugatti telling them about how the new veyron is merely a penis extension.

                    Re: jooooooordaaaaaaaan - vast

Ryan just pointed this thread out to me, since I only ever check the Bavaria forum, so I didn't see this thread.

It looks like the pump was mounted underneath the car, which would cause it to be constantly showered by dust, salt, and gravel. I've never seen a pump in this rough of shape, and I've seen a lot of these pumps on various cars.

It is, indeed, a Shurflo pump, re-badged by DO, and assembled as a kit specifically for the 2.7T for VAST. The pump has a 1-year warranty, beyond that you just have to purchase a new one. I can definitely get a replacement for you, if you would like me to look into that, please let me know.

                    Thanks.

                    RONDAL,

If you'd like to stop by the shop and check out some of VAST's products, feel free. That might change your mind about the quality.

Sorry this thread is just about what to route to take in replacing the pump. However, it does sound like you need a lesson in basic electonics. Additionally, "common sense" must be a relative term, based apon education, understanding and experience. I'd you'd like to start a new thread to discuss why fuses have specific amperage ratings, the resistant of the liquid in question, and why the fuse didn't blow.... I'm sure I can find the time to help you.

I'm gonna try princess auto. Hopefully Jordan can gimmie a good price on a replacemet pump too. That'd make me happy
