    Ok, so here's the deal.
Me and a friend are looking to paint our calipers but not your everyday color.(blue, red, yellow, black or silver) Looking to buy hot pink and purple. I'm having a hard time finding a high heat/caliper paint in these colors. VHT Paint carries it but I can't seem to find a store that carries VHT in the 2 colors listed.

I was told High Performance Coating has just what I need. I stopped by there but all the have is normal paint that they can mix up in whatever color I wanted.

Now I guess the real question is did all of you use actual "caliper paint" or "high heat paint"? HPC said their paint its good up to 220* Degrees. Would this normal paint work to paint our calipers?
    What would do you recommend?

    TIA!

    Re: Caliper Painting

go to advance auto body supplies. ask them to mix up the color you want in a high heat engine paint formula. done. dodge had panther pink, for an example, so the colors are there.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

I went to advance auto body supplies today and they don't mix high heat paints. I also called High Performance Coatings and they don't do high heat paint other than black. Any other suggestions of somewhere local?

I know you can get VHT Caliper spray paint on ebay and that seems to be the only place I could find it in any color.
I also found some engine paint at Canadian tire but a spray as well. Thinking thats the way Im going to go.
If you do find any other places though Id love to know where too.

you should get double rainbow coloured calipers.

                    that'd be so intense.

                    oh my god.

you wouldn't even be able to capture it on your camera.

                    so intense. all the way.

                            Re: Caliper Painting

Got the paint from Smith Mcleay Coatings, it comes in part and A and B and you mix them 1:1. They had a ton of colors to choose from and it only took them 10min to mix it for me. We cleaned the brake calipers with a scrub brush and some spray nine, then we roughed them up a bit with some sandpaper and then cleaned them with wax/grease remover. Next we masked off the parts we didn't want to paint. Then we brushed the paint on and waited until the paint was tacky before we applied the second coat. I think it came out pretty good:
