Hour and 1/4 and still in early stage of backup = buggy install. I quit for now.

mine kept not working to, so i clicked "download only" it took about 15 minutes to download and then 20 minutes for install. You may want to try that

just did mine... took about 15min total (download and phone updating).
it was crazy how many times the phone restarted.

Do not use a jailbroken backup file to restore from - I did this and I Lost my iPod icon, didn't get folders working, slow and 1gb of "other".

Did a fresh start and off we go. I do miss a couple things from a JB 3.1.2 - Weather icon in status bar, Calibri font, backgrounding for shoutcast (commmmooonnnn update!)

ios4 is great so far, the subtle menu graphics, mail (thank god), etc. etc.

sick ill have to jb it when i get home from work ...last time i jailbroke was 3.0.1. and i had one of my friends do this for me:
