  • Single Serving Coffee Makers?

Any suggestions on one of these? I don't drink a lot of coffee, but my wife wants one of these for her b-day, and I'm somewhat lost. She mentioned she wants one that can use her own grounds with, rather than just using the pods that you buy at the store.
Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

          They all use pods.

If you want push button one-cup coffees that taste good using grounds, you should get a super-automatic espresso machine.

Keurig you can also use your own grounds... it comes with a cup that you fill and put it in the same way you would with a pod.

                $179.99 with 90 pods...

I should add that we looked at some units that were more expensive at Williams and Sonoma, but the Keurig was much quieter and much quicker in brewing. My parents actually returned their more expensive unit to get the one above..

I have a Nespresso machine - www.nespresso.com. I like it allot but it is less a single cup coffee maker than an espresso-latté type machine (sacrilege to the coffee snoots). I love coffee (but am no connoisseur) and I really like this machine. I usually make a tall espresso so it is almost like a cup of coffee and my wife makes lattés.

Here is the model I have:

Thanks everyone for the advice. After doing some research, I'm going to be getting that same set as well - has good reviews and is a pretty decent price.

if anyone is still interested theres a place called the Coffee Connection in calgary. They have pretty much every available keurig cup. Sell full box orders, and singles as well.

1047 26 Street Northeast, just off Barlow.

                            Re: Single Serving Coffee Makers?

Decided to return the Keurig I bought at Costco and decided to buy the new professional series Keurig that is full Stainless rather than the painted silver. The stainless matches all of my appliances : )

This new one also features 5 cup sizes rather than 3 and it can also make cold drinks aswell.
