  • | Calgary Ink |

Since I am close to done with modifying Velvy, it is time to look into getting "Inked" once again.
I currently have 5 tattoos. 2 of which I want to cover up.

I am thinking of getting a Full Sleeve done.
Full Sleeve = from my left pectoralis major all the way to my left carpal (wrist) area.
I am thinking black art or tribal design.
I've got the details listed in my head.

I used to go to Scott @ Eternal Image.
They used to be located @ the "Red Mile" but has moved since.
I do not exactly know whether they closed shop or where they moved to.

Can yall recommend me a shop or an artist?
Also, I would like to know your personal experience with this shop or artist.

Bushido Tattoo is a client of mine and I have known a few of the artists there for a number of years including owner Doug. I personally do not have any tattoos so I cannot add anything there but I can vouch for the shop so you could see if any of the artists there styles work with what you want as that is key!

I agree with Blair. One of my good friends works there so I can attest to their work. Also wish me luck I am getting my first tattoo done there on the 5th.

Doug Fink at Bushido (the owner) is awesome... He does great work for sure! He did my neck piece. The other artists there are also good. They all have their won style preferences though so it is a great idea to go down and look through their portfolio's and see who's style appeals to you and the type of peice you want to get done.

Bad pic but it gives you an idea...

It's been years since I've lived in Calgary, but I had a tattoo fanatical friend who SWORE by them. She also pierced her entire body as often as possible.

Both sets of lips, full back corset, all sorts of things.

She was kind of cute too.

Alas, I have no pics anymore. Besides, she was underage at the time, so you all go to jail.

                        Way to go.

I used to go to Bushido, but stopped because my artist left. I go to Strange World Tattoo and my guy is Mike Peace. The owner does all of the tattoos for a friend of mine, but I've heard good things about James Tex as well.

I've got tattoos done by Chris at Bushido AND James Tex, both great artists. My friend Joe is a tattoo artist at Gypsy Rose Tattoos and he did my most recent piece and I am very impressed, up to par with both Chris and James which says a lot. If you get any work done by Joe tell him Rob Morrison sent you, I don't know if it will get you a deal or not but it's worth a shot!
