We installed a back up camera in Chad's (C.Foley) jetta. The camera is model specific. They make them for most newer 00+ euro cars. I am doing an order on tues-weds. Let me know asap if you want one. They are $60ea and can be used with any aftermarket NAV or DVD unit or OEM Nav units with a reverse camera input. These are coming out of China, so expect a 2-3 week turn around

So far I have:
1) Colin (mk4 jetta)
2) Tyler (mk4 jetta)
3) DJ (b5 s4)
4) Mat (mk2 jetta - maybe if it fits)

nice, I like the graduation on the screen like that, I found with most other ones they are useless because they don't give any sort of depth perception

perspective on the camera looks off, in relation to the grid and the ground. is it supposed to be like that?

according to the grid, it would be an upward angle. it seriously doesn't look right.

They look like they go in the plate lights holes? Do they have a light in them as I believe it is illegal not to have your plate lit. Makes me wonder if they will fit in the van though.

If you look to the left of the camera on the passat picture......there is an led there.

I too bought one from a Chinese website, this one has IR LED's and was $20, but no licence plate light built in.

how do you wire this up? my pioneer harness has a reverse wire but wtf do i attach that to? the camera i get. its a simple composite video plug

Umm your reverse lights genius, read the manual.

yea so you need to run a wire from the deck ALL the way back to the tail lights??? i thought there would be something easier under the dash for it..

- wire from deck to camera for "switch screen to on" when power to detected to camera
- RCA cable from deck to camera
- power wire to back-up light or park light depending on how much control you want.

Very easy to install, just time consumer..........

I have one camera left, will fit most audi's and vw's
