Rogers Wireless Txt/Call issue

Hey, is anyone else through rogers? and if so, have you experienced a problem where someone from Telus or Bell, etc. can't txt you sometimes?

I'll go a whole day without receiving a txt, then someone will say "dude, i texted you like 10 times".

I kept calling rogers and they say it's telus or bells problem and they're not responsibl for external connectivity issues. however, i don't entirely agree because they have no way of knowing who's responsible without actually looking. so far it's just ppl talking out their bumbs.

i have 3 different phones, and i switch the sim card between them. 1 of them is an official rogers phone (never unlocked or modded). i experience the same problem across the 3 phones.

i've been slowly recording the incidents by date. i'm going to eventually have my laywer draft up a letter that states Rogers has not fullfilled their end of the contract by not providing me with a service. then i'm going to switch to telus now that they have 3g.

i had that happen too when i was with telus... telus/bell to rogers/fido is always a bust.

Ive had the exact same problem for the past 5 years.

Especially when it comes to Bell to Rogers and sometimes even vice versa. Mainly happens with txt msgs(since i use that most often) but calls dont come through at times and just sends the caller to my VM like the phone is shut off.

Cross carrier texting is always a problem with me. I also think BBM is also a problem when going cross carrier. I am with Rogers and my buddy (Telus) and I have intermittent problems with TXT and BBM. So I just email him now or call.

so i phoned rogers. i was on msn with someone who was texting me. i was having her text, and they weren't coming through. so i told the rogers dude to call his support and take a look at the network.

the teir 2 rogers dude said there were messages in my queue and could have been blocking hers. so they cleared the queueue. he said call back if it still acts up.

well it's midnight, i was at my neighboors and didn't get a text for a few hours. so i came home and i have an msn window open from a girl at richmonds saying "Get ur ass down here cause i want you in me" or something similar. so i phone rogers to find out why none of her texts came through..

the rogers dude says "our systems are down, i can't even look up your account information until tomorrow. good bye" . totally rude and useless .

yea I always had problems with rogers when I was with them, texts not being delivered, terrible coverage in BC, calls always getting dropped etc etc. Now I have one friend that is still on rogers and he doesn't receive a lot of my texts and when I try to call him it pauses for 3-4 seconds before ringing no matter where I phone from (my house/cell on telus, gfs house on shaw home phone) which never happens when I am calling people on other networks

Easy, download beejive for your iPhone, throw the sim card in when you leave the house and just use MSN.

I've cut my Texting in 1/2 by using whatsapp for iphone to iphone and beejive for msn, gtalk.

Edit: I did have a friend complain the other day that his rogers phone wasn't givving texts.

I phoned rogers again yesterday. They escilated the problem big time. They are sending a technician to the towers near my house to ensure there are no issues. lol, i'm pretty happy that someone actually is doing something about it

on that note, Android is still a complete peice of dieing sh!t. end of story

i switched over to my android phone today. And because i have had new contacts changed/added in outlook since the last time i used it, i synced. because google doesn't do anything right and treats every project like R&D with no QA... their latest sync application didn't fix the suck.

i even configured it to NOT change items on my pc.. and it adds 77 duplicate contacts to my outlook. i just finished going through all my outlook contacts to remove the duplicates.

if someone defends android, i'll punch them in the eye

Telus and Bell share a network, and I always find sending texts to them from rogers takes more than it should. Rogers -> Rogers takes seconds. If I'm beside my bro, and send him one, it's literally seconds. Send to my GF who is on telus, could be 30 minutes or 5 hours. Ridiculous.

I'm on telus, talk to graeme daily on BBM, never any problems. texts also always go through. never have problems.

i do, however, know what the problem is. you live in alberta.
