I thought I read at one time that the lights had to be made for the car. Therefor the HID's had to be factory installed. I know that makes almost all of us with projectors and aftermarket HID's illegal.

I think they have to have a DOT stamp on them or something along those lines?

So my 3000k hid fog's that are my daytime running lights like on all Audi's, are illegal cause there not white or amber? Yet yellow fogs are legal? this seems like a conflict between the two laws.

I wish they passed laws that actually helped with road safety, maybe " No ricers are allowed to blind anyone with drop in HID kits" hahaha
