I need to get a new battery now too. So you guys say don't get an Optima, but anything else from either walmart or candian tire will suffice?

Optimas are good batteries. I wouldn't say don't get one, its just that a cheap battery in a gasser under normal use last for a pretty long time and will crank in pretty cold temps. An Optima isn't always justifiable.

epic fail. Just kidding. Ya I agrees. I use generic cdn tire batteries. I don't pay double just for something brand named. The motormaster batteries have. Wicked wRrNty too. I just get a new one every two years or so for free from them lol.

Costco has good stuff with good warranties. So does Battery World.

I just buy the ones with the highest reserve capacity and highest cold cranking amps.

the batery you need is from a real optima dealer and is the sc34r . it fits the closest to oem batery for optima . i can get the cover to fit still but its a trick .
