Crazy? Why would you want to continue paying someone 7 mill to play like someone who gets paid 4 mill? He has been invisible in the last month or so.. when you need your Captain and leading scorer to step up.

Besides that, he and Kipper are our only real assets.... And Kipper has been our best player game in and game out.

If we got a GOOD offer, I wouldnt think twice about trading Iggy.

Okay couldn't resist.... I live in Van now but lived in Cowtown most of my life prior. I always liked the flames but wouldn't say I was that big of a fan until I moved here! Canucks fan are brutal, words can't describe how annoying they are. That said they seem to have a chance this year though I'd wager a first round exit, Luongo will s#!t the bed for sure.

Speaking of Luongo, oh what a joy it was to experience enraged nucks fans during the Olympics when we had that loss to the US with the Brodeur in net. Ranting and raving about how Luongo (with no big game experience) should have been in... and my favorite was seeing two dudes rip on one guy cause he had a Brodeur jersey on!!

So asides from the Canucks fans I love it here!

also i would love to see rick nash in a flames jersey next season, we need a big, skilled center to play with iggy, all the other experiments havnt worked as of yet

That has been going on all year long..... Well that and Luongo not being as good as everyone in BC thinks he is! I actually met a few honest fans during the Olympics who were as worried as everyone else in Canada about Lou being the go to guy...

sad thing is flames have nothing going for them in the future years either. No solid prospects coming up...

They traded away dion for useless crap, while we all know they needed a solid #1 center. Stajan is garbage... Its like suter rolled the dice and hoped all the players he brought in would click.

Someone explain to me why they got steve staios?? As an oilers fan I'm so happy we got rid of his contract and for a great return too.

Yes the oilers had a brutal year, but hey, better last then 9th

summer is for golfing, not hockey, so i don't really care. but i have always been more of a canucks fan, than a flames fan. i just think it's nice to root for the home team.

my two cents...HAWKS take all...simple...i called it end of last season...they'll face the Caps and take em in 6 or 7

as for nucks...voted 5th most HATED fans in all of sports! that's not something to be proud of haha!

you know living in both cities, both cities have ATROCIOUS fans. for every true fan in each town there are 3 bandwagon fans who somehow find the biggest soap box around to spew their trash.

It's no different in any town though, or with any sport.


im betting sutter gets the heave, both of them. Iggy, Regher, and kipper are the only assets, and also the only way the team can grow by trading for draft picks. My bet is regher is the first to go of the 3. Iggy is the face of the organization, but if sutter goes it'll be a free for all i think.

i have always been a Canucks fan, being originally from bc i have always cheered for them, but i do admit that there are some crazy fans in every city that thinks their team is the best and have all the best players, Vancouver seems to be one of the worst cities for this it seems. and yes, Luongo isnt the most reliable player, he has been known to **** the bed when hes needed the most by his team and city. but ill still cheer for them as long as they are around to play hockey, even if they end up last in the NHL. just like the oilers.lol

If it comes down to it, Sutter will not be "fired" as he and Ken King are VERY GOOD friends ( They just bought a huge piece of land together near Viking, and have numerous other endeavors together )....... SOOO, if it happens, it will be because he resigned on his own free will.

you just need to look at what sutter has done with the team since the lockout. they are a team crippled by cap issues, with no assets to show for it. they pay mediocre players that have 1 good season a boatload of cash in a longterm deal. When they dont perform they cant trade them as no one wants to assume the cap hit, and they cant play all of them because its over the cap limit.

sutter may have built a solid team pre-salary cap. but he has failed since then, and should either step down or be removed.

I love how quick everyone is to throw Iginla under the bus. The whole team was shite. Look at Iggy in the Olympics when he has some talent around him.
