At home the wife and I only use a Macbook for primarily surfing and that is it, if it was to crap out I would consider getting an iPad, probably with WiFi only.

Considering I'll be selling them eventually I'll probably get one, I really see it as more of a niche product at first. However what it will do if it takes off is create a new market.
For instance, there is a customer lighting company which currently sells a $1,500 touch screen controlled lighting interface, they're really excited to use the iPad because it will then be a $500 controller. In doing so they're able to penetrate into a new area of the market, where previously their product was out of most peoples reach, this would bring it into a plausible realm.

How will you watch porn on it with no flash? It's useless
Step 1: Torrent loads of "video"
Step 2: convert files into itunes friendly format
Step 3: Store files on apple time capsule
Step 4: procure kleenex/lotion
Step 5: enjoy video via iTunes streaming on iPad/Apple TV
Step 6: clean up
Step 7: smoke a cigarette

Curious though, I wonder why they haven't used the ipod touch/phone for that? its cheaper, smaller and as far as I can tell the Ipad has no functions that the ipod touch/phone doesn't have, if that lighting system has some sort of base station that can hook up to the internet then when you are away on vacation you could use your iphone to turn the lights on in your house for security reasons.
I can see the ipad as something that you would just leave around the house, wondering about something, just grab the pad and look it up, laptops and desktops make everything so official where a pad is just something simple that doesn't need to boot, no need for anti virus and anyone can use it.
