Moose Across the street form my house

Friday afternoon there was a freaking moose right across the street from my house. Ive never seen one so close before, they are pretty damn big! Heres a video

Then yesterday i found this on the news

i can't beleive how close some of those ppl got to it. i'm from thunder bay ontario, you don't **** with moose :P .. they are quick and will do some serious damage to you if they wanted.

that's why we shoot them and make yummy sausage out of their meat.. yum!

holy crap, ya those things can be pretty vicious, neat to see one in an urban area like that though.

you know whats a blasty blast? rippin down a trail on your sled goin about 90mph and coming around a corner to have that standing there.

One time when I was working for the Ministry of Highways in Northern BC for the summer we went out to measure how much the road flexes using this huge 25000 kg truck.

Well, we came up on a big ass moose on the highway that just would not move. About a minute went by and the driver, who was this really funny biker, just let loose with the air horn. Sooo, all this did was piss off the moose. He blared back at us then put it's head down and rammed the truck. He took a step back, shook it's head and then proceeded to ram the truck another three times. So after the last time it shakes it's head again and runs off into the bushes.

When we got out and took a look at the front grille it was completely destroyed, lights, fender, etc...all mangled.

So from then on, I have a lot of respect for moose. They can be mean Mo Fo's.

ha ha darren is my landlord. lol being from nl i would not be that close to a moose. i have heard tell of one that wrote off a new ford truck, while it was parked!

funny thing is anytime we're driving on the highway and we see a group of people doing the same thing we call them idiots.

No chance I would get that close, especially approaching from the rear like that. So sketchy.

I was biking in Kanaskis one time, and we came around this corner and on one side of the trail there were these two bear cubs. That was the scariest moment of my life. Where the hell is momma, and why I am I between her and her cubs?

Needless to say, we rode our asses off getting clear of that situation.
