    Re: Carbon Fiber Wrap

This is actually better than the fabric. It's a lot easier to work with because it is identical to vinyl unlike the fabric where you have to use some sort of spray adhesive before applying.

I like the dry carbon look but would have to find the right application for it.

I wonder if 4" is wide enough to do a headliner though.

            Re: Carbon Fiber Wrap

4' should be enough but if you plan to wrap the headliner then the fabric might be a better choice.

                  Re: Carbon Fiber Wrap

Isnt it the 3m Di NOC? If so its just a stamped vinyl... not actually cf. From what I understand CF material isnt durable enough to be used in applications like this. More or less the same as the material with a 3m sticky backing on it.

                    Re: Carbon Fiber Wrap

Correct. It is not real carbon fiber. It is a weave meterial that looks just like CF. I believe it is Di Noc which is overlay weave material on top of the 3M backing. If it was real CF, it wouldn't be $10 sq/ft

                      Re: Carbon Fiber Wrap

I saw a 3 series that replaced his int trim with this wrap - looked really good even on the corners and the round surfaces.

Now doing the hood/roof etc, can't say I'd not mock anyone that did it.
