  • Good Toyota repair shop in Edmonton area?

I have a high mileage '96 4Runner that is needing some love.

Brakes are pulsing and need a bit of work. I also have new springs, spacer lift and shocks sitting in the basement and needing to be installed.

Normally I try to do my own wrenching, but with moving, new house, new job, etc. I do not have the time right now.

Anyone recommend any good shops for me?

Doesn't have to be a Toyota-specific shop, just reasonable rates, knowledgeable workers with quality workmanship.

    Any help is appreciated thanks.
Yes, I drive one of those "olympic" cars with the rings on the front....

How reasonable are their shop rates? Not interested in paying for another truck in getting this old one fixed up.

I don't trust most "stealerships", as most of them overcharge and deliver mediocre workmanship. My experience is that a decent repair shop that knows their craft usually is a better value for repairing non-warranty vehicles.

I will give your pal a call at least and see if they are competitive. Appreciate the reference.

Is Toytech any good? (I drove by their shop the other day but don't know anything about them. I'm assuming they do specialty work on Toyotas.)

How about 4WheelAuto? I've bought parts there but never had anything installed by them.
