  • 2010 F1 Season

for any of the fans of F1 racing on here, who do you think is gonna take the drivers championship and constructors championship??
what you are looking forward to most this season?

for myself i think its gonna be a really close race between 3 teams for the constructors championship:

Ferrari,Mclaren, and the new Mercedes team.
i think that there will be an underdog team this year that will win at least 1 race and finish in the top 5 is gonna be Force India.

for the drivers championship i would really like to see Schumacher win another championship but i think that itll come down to Alonso and Hamilton.

    any one elses ideas??

i'm an F1 fan. no predictions from me though. just really like the racing and technology that goes into it. i will, however, be at the Turkish Grand Prix in 2 months time. should be exciting to see live. i'll take tons of pics.
you probably don't like me because someone else said they didn't lol. <3

I have hopes for a good season too, with all the changes in rules, teams and drivers I am hoping for a lot of excitement, but from what I hear the first race was a bit dull, but did not see it myself.

I have been to the Sepang Circuit in Malaysia (but only saw Japanese Super GT) and have walked the course in Singapore as they were setting up for that inaugural night race there, but not an actual F1 event in person, hopefully some day!

It was another boring race on the one of the new super shitty circuits. They should really get rid of all these new tracks and just go to all the classic races spa/nurberg/silverstone etc.

ya i hope it stays here too. i'd like to go to that one also.

i had already booked my trip to turkey and happened to notice the race was on for the last weekend i'm there, so i had to buy some tickets. funny thing is, it was cheaper to buy those tickets than it is for my wife and i to fly to montreal and stay for the race weekend. platinum grand stand seats. across from the paddock and start/finish line. i can't wait. really excited to be in the city leading up to race weekend.

even some of the races at the old tracks can be kinda boring too tho, i would rather watch a boring race with the chance of it being interesting than to have a weekend of no F1 racing, the first 10 laps were interesting and the whole new Pit stops i thought were amazing, 18 guys to change 4 tires in sub 2 seconds!! and the last 15ish laps were pretty good too, with Vettel's car losing power. but i do agree that its usually the new tracks that are kinda boring, Bahrain is almost too open of a track, and they really screwed up when they added the new part of the track, way too bumpy for an F1 car to properly handle. still think Monaco and Spa are the 2 best tracks.

well i def think that the racing will be more competitive this season...the top teams seem to be fairly even outta the gate unlike last year. i personally am a huge Hamilton fan and a Vettel fan so the results from the weekend were ok but shitty at same time lol! i hate Ferrari...i really like Alonso's driving style but i think he is a turbo douche and a serious cry baby! the fact he won and Massa was 2nd sucked haha! but next race i predict 2 Merc powered cars and a Ferrari powered on podium...Hamilton Vettel Schumy!

I am soooo jacked for Schumy. I feel F1 has been lacking since he left, well since the big motors left and all the fun of F1. I watched part of the first race, took me a while to discover it was current and not a repeat from last season.

as if F1 hadn't dug itself into a hole, now the 2010 season has begun and they keep shovelling.

the race on sunday wasn't fun to watch...it was BORING.

why is it boring? because you have cars running ultra conservative to save fuel. if vettal hadn't cracked an exhaust due to heat soak, the race would have finished in the exact same way it finished.

are these guys doing a parade or racing?

im sure that if the racing continues the way it was mid race on sunday and F1 drivers are having to conserve fuel during the races instead of being able to go flat out all the time, something is gonna change really quick, its not a race if you have to worry about running out of fuel when you arent even aloud to fill up on pit stops. but the quick pit stops are kinda cool and seeing how quick the cars are on new tires is pretty cool too, but i see youre point too RONDAL. a real race is when you have to:

                              Re: 2010 F1 Season

i dunno i didn't see much racing on sunday. last year it was an issue to pass with KERS. so they got rid of that.
the cars cant run close enough to each other due to the aerodynamics coming off the back of the car in front. this means you cant get close, and slingshot to pass.
the only real spots to pass are going to be in the pits....and who the hell wants to watch that.

F1 is the pinnacle of racing because its basically how quick can you get round a track in a car. now you have all these stupid rules trying to make F1 green, be it KERS and now fuel efficiency.

DEAR BERNIE, I AM A F1 FAN AND COULD GIVE A SH!T ABOUT FUEL EFFICIENCY!
