My car got broken into last night. Not too impressed and now looking to get retribution on whoever did it. I realize it is quite a long shot, but I'm going to try and get the *******(s) that did this.

I'm offering $1000 to whoever finds out who did this. Here are the details: I got home from a movie at 11:45pm last night and parked in front of my house in Chinook Park (Right by Henry Wise Wood highschool). A few things were stolen that i wish to get back and they left my lock mechanism in shambles.

If anyone knows anything or whatever, a thousand bucks could be yours if your help gets me whoever did this.

    Disgruntled,

    Chris.

Sorry to hear about that Chris, not good news at all. I am not sure if you will have any luck finding them, but hopefully they will be caught.

              Thanks guys.

I'm not going to say what was stolen (because I need to verify if it's the right person by seeing that they have the particular thing that was taken).

Yeah Ryan, my car was outside, but there wasn't too much snow in there this morning. In hindsight, the conditions last night were perfect for breaking into cars; windy, cold, and snowy - so people wouldn't be out and about - and the car would be covered with snow so even if someone did pass by, they wouldn't be able to see someone sitting inside. Also, all their footprints and whatnot would be eradicated by the wind and accumulating snow. Wankers.

Paul, I'm not sure if it was any of the Wisewood kids. But if you hear anything, let me know.

              Thanks again guys!

Kinda interesting and ties in with this thread.

                    Me too!

                    Sorry about the car man.

I was broken into that night as well (Haysboro). Fortunately, I had nothing of value in the car and they left empty handed.

I'd be VERY interested if you find out who was responsible for your loss.

Aaron, did they just pop the lock on your door? That's what they did to mine. There isn't any damage except for that, thank God.

I took it to the dealership and got new locks ordered (they have to replace all of them - they can't just re-key them) and it ends up costing $160 + $68 in labour.

If I catch whoever did this, I'm cutting off their hands.

                      Chris.

the strange part about me and my car is when i first bought it i was super paranoid about theives, etc but now I always leave my cd player in the dash CDs in the doors, etc and I don't use any club, etc crap either and nobody touches my car. I guess it all depends on your hood or work area though..

chris if you find the guy(s) you cut their hands off and i'll pour iodine on the wounds

Did you ask why the alarm didn't go off?

Yeah I did, Kris, thanks for reminding me. They said that when they break the lock, the car thinks that it has been opened with the key, so the alarm is disarmed. Kinda makes the whole thing pointless IMO.

When they break the lock, the alarm is disarmed. Holy crap, that is the worst designed alarm system in the history of alarm systems. They might as well make the car start when they break the ignition.
