ctvolympics.ca streams everything with no issues, been watching some everyday on it so far.

where is live on ctvolympics.ca? every video i click on brings me to a hourly stream or highlights. i'm happy with watching this stream from the states.

I am more embarrassed by our athletes. Bunch of namby pamby losers. We watched an interview of a Biathlete who finished 54th and she was disappointed that she didn't make her goal of top 30. WHY THE **** ISNT YOUR GOAL GOLD!?!

Then they had some halfwit on the CBC today saying the Olympics are about having fun, as long as you enjoyed yourself you are doing well.

Just straight up embarrassing, and truly pathetic. Why is it that this nation is just so meek? If we don't finish top 3 in these Olympics I would clean house. Obviously we don't have the drive nor the want to win. The only Gold that I am stoked with is the Skeleton, Jon Montgomery is in my opinion the best Olympian we have.

Own the podium? More like Get Owned.

some of this **** has been a true gong tho.. the media overhypes our athletes to make them seem like they are guaranteed gold.. like the downhill ski guy paradis who ended up 16th.. i feel bad for them

Well the Super G course was hard. But in my opinion that is the point of the Olympics. To be Challenging. To test the best of the best. I don't care what the Media says about the athletes. I watch the Olympics with the opinion that anyone can win it.

What I absolutely cannot stand is when these Athletes don't shoot for gold. Why should tax-payers and other businesses foot the bill for athletes who don't want to win? Who just want to try and have fun? Maybe I just don't get it.

the idea was good: make a fast track. it's new, it's fast and it's probably a riot.

but an obvious ameteur design flaw was putting pillars on the outside corner. seriously? my little sister wouldn't even have done that!

i like that they promote our atheletes, but the ones they pick are for superficial reasons.

like, let's look at lueders. he's okay, not the best. but he has a lot of silvers. he did pretty good at placid, which isn't an easy track. that's the only respect i have for him. his attitude is ****. his personality is ****. he doesn't give anyone the time of day. he treats his bobsleigh hobby as if it's a fulltime career. so CTV takes this guy and turns him into a superstar of bobsleigh.

well if anyone had done their research, they'd see that lyndon's times have been faster then lueders on an older sleigh! yet ctv still highlights lueders.

and then brown (king) starts pushing for lyndon and not lueders should have said somethin to ctv.

that's a lot of emotional stress for atheletes to endure; when their country is playing a game of highschool drama and chosing arrogant old men to highlight instead of "everyone".

most of the top atheletes this year have been up and comers. and they didn't get any publicity.

we're supposed to be a team. but the media f'd that right up.

But this is the case all the time in this Country. Instead of spending the money to develop a new athlete we just re-use them. Pierre was in Lake Placid, what is that 1980? Time for some new blood. Thomas Grandi finally retired from the Olympic ski team.

When these old athletes finally retire all they do is become a coach, they just constantly find ways to avoid having to get a real job. Just billing the tax-payers for their 'Expertise'.

Grandi never won anything of worth, yet the ski community sucked his dick forever, and I feel the same thing is happening for Lueders. A bunch of Silvers, just means you are the worlds greatest loser.

The Moguls guy won a gold which was sweet, but man am I tired of all of the media coverage about his brother. I would say his brother is getting the same if not more coverage the dude who won the damn event.

Big deal there were some pillars on the outside, did anyone else hit them? Anyone else crash into these pillars? In the Trials? The Practice? The previous events? No. The guy who did crash is ranked 55/62 lugers on the circuit. He just ran out of talent, now his shortage of talent was tragically fatal, but these sort of things happen when you are doing a dangerous sport. Now as always hindsight is 20/20, it now seems obvious that these things shouldn't have been there. But they were and the Federation signed off on the track.

Jon Montgomery, the Skeletor(?), his win was a proud moment. He was super excited, drank a pitcher while being police escorted, he did what it takes to win. He had that drive. I would promote him to the head of the Olympic Athlete Development, as he demonstrated the hunger.

The lone Canadian in the Nordic combined came out of retirement for this event. In the words of the the CTV Broadcasters "He came out of retirement for this race, he raced hard, he had a strong finish, this will raise the profile of nordic combined in Canada" This man finished. Thats it, he didn't even place, he came dead last and last by a ways. He just finished the race, anyone can do that. Why even spend the money to train this guy, to ship him out to the event, to give him all the gear and team for this event? We all knew he wouldn't place well.

This is like when you hear of these hippy sports, where everyone gets a trophy, it isn't about winning, it is about having a good time and trying hard. ********. The pride of a nation is riding on your ass, you had better at least try to podium.

I also do not understand why we allow all of these other nations to use our training facilities? Why would you give the competition a level field? Business's don't give away their patents.

I hope there is a knight of the long knives coming up, after these Olympics, clean house.

haha bonfire, i do agree with everything you are saying. good energy.

something else to add is the money spent on the "spotlight atheletes" like lueders. lyndon spent his OWN money. he bought his own sleigh. he rented his own hotels. he bought his own tickets. he bought his own helmets. this isn't a joke, the guy raised money to put himself in the olympics.

why? when i buy a chocolate milk, money from that taxes goes to lueders; a man who made people leave the f'n ice house when he practiced. a loser who hid is times from the rest of the aba! no wonder ppl thought he was a superhero, no one knew that he sucked.

i don't remember when king came to canada? 2004? he was pushing for lueders, and that carried leuder's career a bit further. if it wasn't for king's push (literally), lueders probably won't be in this years olympics.

i was in a 4 man with king once, his push is unreal. it's actually scary how hard his hit is.

That is bad-ass this Lyndon guy sounds like he has the hunger. Boblsleigh is something I know absolutely nothing about, I got to go in a 4man one in the ice house in a summer camp when I was a kid and that is about it.

I might do that summer bobsleigh thing at COP this summer, see what that is like.

Like the US has Bode Miller on their Ski Team, which I think is awesome. I like him a lot. He is cocky, he drinks, parties, skis like he on fire. Now he has been a bit crash prone the past few years. Which makes his arrogance a bit less tolerable, but he won the Super Combined this year.

Lueders doesn't win and is more arrogant.

Well I guess we at least have an Ice Dancing gold, WoooT!

Now if only our superstar ridden hockey team could get their show on the road.
