95% sure this is a local rod, dubbed the Wild Rod, built at The Rod Shop. Buddy of mines uncle owns the shop. It has the 5.7L Turbo Diesel in it I believe, I know it is Diesel, and turbo and GM just can't remember the displacement. I know they were shooting for 1000ft/lbs of torque. Thing is sick. I heard them fire it up but it wasn't anywhere near road ready.

gm never built a 5.7 litre diesel motor, they did a 6.2 non-turbo, 6.5 turbo and now a 6.6 turbo. from the looks of it from this pic it might be a 5.9 cummins.

Hmm.... I will ask. I am impressed you can tell that from that picture. Asked my buddy and he said it was a ford V8 diesel, with a bigger turbo and a chip of sorts.

Looking at the car there that does look like the 5.9 cummins, i remember because i can see the oil filter cap, and i recall it being in the same spot.

i used to be a diesel truck enthusiast before i smartened up and got in the VAG products.lol.
