oddddd issue with the beater

so last night i put all my downpipes in my baron trunk to take to dale adams shop today to get done up over the next week and a bit

so i get down there and my trunk won't pop!!! the lever does nothing! and my F'in key doesn't want to fit all the way in the trunk lock so i couldn't open it up.. so i got in and chat with the guys and they come out to help me and we all started laughing and swearing at the POS and nothing we could do would open it up!!

of course the back seat doesn't fold down. i've even taken pliers at home now and pulled the wire for the trunk as hard as i could and it doesn't do anything..

i guess i'll be picking the rear lock or takin my key with a hammer to try and get it in all the way.. or simply take a 1/2 drill bit and drill the lock out

lol so i fixed it.. f'in gay.. stupid car has 2 keys for trunk lock and ignition for god knows why.. anyways i don't have the second key so i remove the back seat.. only 4 10mm bolts which was easy ****.. pull way some cardboard **** and then take a broom handle and duct tape a big flat head screwdriver on it and start poking away
flip some little switch and the F'in thing opens up

look at the hinge.. stupid latch has a valet lock out on it! so you can't pop it from inside.. F me.. flip the stupid latch to the off spot and shut/open it 4x with no issue

sigh.. back to the shop monday to get these F'in downpipes done

That is a strange issue indeed, poor Baron. Our stupid Topaz (and most older fords) has a different key for the trunk, so stupid.

Yea, the SHO is nice. The Flex has the same drive train but even more practical. 3.5L V6 Twin Turbo. tons of room, and can pull 5000 pounds. It's also about 20,000 cheaper than any Euro that will get me similar features. Had one for 4 hours yesterday.

Right now there's a brand new SHO across the street, A new F-150 Platinum, 2 F-350 Harley Davidsons around the corner, and an F-150 Raptor down the street. Maybe my neighborhood is slowly trying to convert me.

If i could afford the SHO, i think i would definitely go there. However, the practicality of the new TDI's is hard to pass up.

The SHO is sick. Finally a domestic listening to the consumer. Ford didn't take any money, and they are back to making money. Good on them.

The US website has a bunch of videos of the SHO up against a bunch of Imports, it's quite interesting.

The new interiors are much improved too. Also, cars like the Fusion, available in different engine combos including a Hybrid with tons of nice options. They also see the market for a small car which is why they are bringing the Fiesta which will also have some nice available options.

Yeah, I saw the A4 video. Very interesting. But it doesn't really surprise me, V6TT is a bad ass combo. Good styling, I hear the interiors are on the rise.

The Fiesta coming to NA with Ken Block in the WRC Fiesta, is a good move. I hope to see some Advertising Tie-Ins with thatt. I am thoroughly impressed with Ford. They have a sense of what people want and where they as a company want to be. Glad to see at least one American Company has a clue about what to do.

true.. you can get that SHO engine in a lincoln or two too
