Well boys and girls it's official, Mister T is going to law school. I just got my first letter of acceptance (from the University of Alberta). So at least I'll be within 4 hours of Calgary. Now to see if the University if Calgary gets back to me. Here's an artist's rendition of Mister T after graduation.

Re: Mister T is going to law school
Take Law at UofA rather than UofC from what I've heard. I don't believe the programs are viewed the same amongst firms in Western Canada.
Congrats!Sidewalks are for normal walkin.... aint no room for fancy walkin....

Re: Mister T is going to law school
Agreed, I've heard that U of A has a pretty good reputation. I could live with being in Edmonton. The thing with U of C is that most of my friends and family are in Calgary. Along with things like family doctors, facilities to work on my cars, Wing Chun etc... So we'll have to see how it plays out. Still, it's nice to know I'll never have to write another LSAT exam."Paranoia is just the eerie sensation of knowing you're right"

Re: Mister T is going to law school
nice work! my brother chose to go to UofA for the above mentioned reasons,He hates edmonton but hey its only a matter of time until he graduates and moves. He also comes down to calgary to see his friends and whatnot pretty regularly...his 1.8T gets rad gas milage on route.Last edited by D-BOMB; 01-27-2010, 08:21 PM."If it has tits or wheels it will give you trouble"

Re: Mister T is going to law school
The only snag with UofA is their massive deficit. They are now imposing a $570/year fee for every student in order to help pay off their 59million dollar deficit.
You would have thought a Uni with a fairly well respected Business school, would have a rough clue how to manage a university.

D-BOMB: Congratulations man, it must be nice to have that out of the way. Make sure to let us all know when they give you the official go-ahead.
bonfire: It seems like I'm boned on the tuition no matter which school (UofC or UofA) I go to. The UofC had just implemented their differential tuition which raises the fees substantially for law programs.
mDmVR6: If I did get into UBC, I won't hear from them until June. I ended up changing my application status to mature student status. I spoke to the head of the advisory commitee while I was in Vancouver last week and she said that my 155 on the LSAT would put me out of the running in the regular category. However, In light of my other experience I stand a chance as a mature student."Paranoia is just the eerie sensation of knowing you're right"
