Love this statement he makes
"In terms of this car "not being a built motor" ... it's built to handle the power it needs to handle. Talk to HPA because their work is proprietary. Obviously this isn't some hack job from newbs here on the forums... it's a commercially available badass air-ride popping machine. (not that the car's on bags or anything else that does absolutely nothing to make the car faster other than trying to make you look cool when you're not, you know that sort of thing. It's all performance. I didn't even bother changing the seats because I don't need harnesses and the stock seats are so comfortable.)
"I dropped out of school …when I was 17-years-old. I began developing websites and applications when I was 10-years-old. Because of this, I began having trouble juggling my life with high-school…"
i dunno why everyone is hating on this car so badly.. i know the price is a little steep. but its not completely ridiculous.. did you read the build thread?
i think somewhere in around 60-65 is more reasonable, but this definitely the most well built tt r32 i've seen.
go ask hpa to build one one, see what they say for price. yeah hes a little douchey, but he shouldn't be getting as much hate as he is.
We're not hating on him, we're laughin at his FS Thread. You never get the money back that you invest in a car, unless you part it out and then you'll maybe get 60% of it back. 60-65k i think that's still expensive. yes it's a well built R but really would you pay that much? Probly not, and if you had that kind of money, i'm sure you'll get a newer car and mod it yourself. Yes it's an R but it's not GOLD. Those numbers he's throwing at it, 85K is so rediculous that it's funny.
This is true. Its not a matter of him being douchy, its a matter of him actually believing he will get a return on investment from selling his car. There are people from all over the world that spend huge amounts of money to mod their cars and end up selling them for dirt. Its a tough game and you gotta pay to play. But if you're smart, you play for the love of the game, not to try and get your money back. Agreed this is a very well built car, but obviously from the baywatch pic I posted up, its not that well taken car of. I honestly cant see anyone in their right mind even considering this car.

but you think about that.. for 60k, that thing will out perform many cars that will run you 100k plus. so for someone who wanted a unique car, its not neccesarily ridiculous. 85k is, but 50-60 i feel is still reasonable, considering to buy an r most times is a third or so of that price.
it is funny that he wants 85k, but he has gotten a TON of flak for that thread, that he shouldn't of.
i would spend 60k on that if it was a low mileage car fresh out of the shop but its not...
And as I mentioned who the hell builds an $85,000 Mk4 "super car" and doesn't bother to pay 16 USD to replace the dirty stained coolant expansion tank. Obviously someone who has no attention to detail and doesn't really give a damn. So why would anyone want to buy a vehicle that has been owned by someone like that.
