  • VW/Audi tech out of work and am trying to network

    Hey guys,

A few of you know me, but for those who don't, I'm Mike and I used to work for Audi here in Calgary. I no longer work there, and am trying to network to find a suitable place of employement. I am just finishing my forth year apprenticeship as a technician and will be able to write my red seal exam in June of 2010. I have worked on VW's and Audi's for the past 3 and a half years and would prefer to continue with that brand or at least any German automaker, but am willing to learn new brands as well. I have only been in Calgary for just over a year and still don't know many people. If anyone one of you fellow eurodrivers know of anyone hiring or have any suggestions for me, I would be most grateful. Thanks in advance!

    Sincerely,

    Mike

    Try www.tunedub.com
Says he is hiring on the website, but you could easily call and find out.
Never been personally, but many speak highly of him on here. Small shop though so remember the hours might be a little longer, but the work will probably be better.
Its a starting point I guess

Do you work out of your garage?

Yes...for certain things. Its only a single car garage so I don't really have the space for large jobs. I currently have been doing a few odd jobs here and there, like brakes and valve cover and oil pan gaskets and oil changes.

What would you charge to install a fuel pump in an 01 S4? (comes with basket, and appropriate wires)

I could probably do it for 50 bucks or less. It shouldn't take longer than an hour.
