IT type quesiton

At work we use a Sonic Wall TZ 190. The past few months the internet has been very slow, and the wireless internet has been almost unusable. I did not setup the router myself but have been asked to see if I can fix it. When I do a speed test we get very good numbers:

Download: 15.4 Mbps
Upload: 775 Mbps
PING: 78ms

But if I try to CNN.com it takes almost 45 seconds to download the content. Any suggestions?

Terago? Latency can be good and still have **** bandwidth. I'd call and complain - chances of it being the router are pretty slim.

What are you using for DNS? Try typing the IP in the address bar and see if you get to cnn.com any faster. Most ISP DNS servers are slow. I use opendns (208.67.222.222 and
208.67.220.220). Google has a new free dns service as well.

I would try just bypass the firewall with 1 laptop and see if its better on that. If so, you know its the firewall. But I don't think a SonicWall should have any problems!!!
