CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE

At 07:43 this morning, a silver Ferrari crashed into a
building at 1122 - 4th Street SW. The Calgary Fire
Department, EMS and CPS responded to find the lone male
driver outside of the vehicle and extensive damage to the
glass exterior of the six-storey building. The vehicle
failed to negotiate the corner at 12th Avenue and 4th Street
and made contact with the front of the building with great
force.

The Fire Department's Heavy Rescue unit was dispatched to the
incident in order to assess structural damage and potentially
shore unstable portions of the building's facade.

The vehicle barely made contact with the supportive corner
pillar of the building prior to crashing into the glass wall.
Fire crews stabilized the scene and cleaned up vehicular
fluids. The patient was transported by EMS in non-life
-threatening condition. CPS will remain on scene
investigating the incident.

I enjoy how news reports etc no longer place blame on people but rather on the inanimate objects they are using at the time.
