    Re: World Cup Football (Soccer)

Im originally from South Africa, and I can tell you my family says the country is pretty crazy right now. I also got to represent Canada in soccer two years ago in Europe! The best of games! Im cheering for SA, but they won't do well. France is going far this year =)

Drogba fractured his arm today in their final friendly which could make a big difference for Ivory Coast and Group G if he is not able to play.

Rio Ferdinand is also in doubt for the tournament as well after a knee injury in training today.

Blair, I know the feeling of being in Europe for events like this. I was in spain for the final of Euro 2000. CRAZY TIME!

so maybe if Poland tried kick and run.....

So if someone decided to act retarded, would he get special needs benefits?

Poland doesnt need to act like another soccer team to get ahead. Their tactics may not work as well, but there's no point substituting one bad tactic for another

Rio is out. Im sooo gutted.
Would have liked to seen Drogba playing. Ivory Coast are in the group of death. I think they could have caused a big upset with him.....

you know how Rio got hurt?

F*CKING HESKEY THAT PLUMBER PLUG HURT HIM IN A TACKLE.

First he costs Darren Bent a spot, now the captain. Seriously. Bent gets 3rd most goals in the EPL, behind Drogba and Rooney, and gets cut for Heskey.
Heck, they should just bring Scholes, Seaman, Shearer, & Gaza.

Drogba out will be detrimental for sure. England got a pretty good draw, I think they'll do better this year then previous world cups, but they're not winning =p

Is it just me or are a lot of the top players being hit with injuries...? Nigeria's Mikel Obi is out of the world cup and Robben is a doubt...
