  • Anyone have a home wood router they could lend me?

I have to give up and just router up the sides of my stupid tv cabinet to fit my gear inside.. its shy like 1/4" if that

so previous advice by alex stated to router it bigger which should work

unless someone else has an idea?

anyone have a handheld router and just a flat bit they could borrow me?

here is my stupid cabinet the girl mis measured on me

    http://www.urbanbarn.com/products/Li...ow-tv-unit/278

i need to increase the openings on at least 1 side of the unit where the doors close up to
the other side is OK to fit my bell box and xbox360 inside of course

Router will work best for that. Maybe buy one then return it?

Is it just the front that is too small, can you take out the shelves and then put your gear in sideways?

I have one with bits you can borrow.
Edit: after looking at the picture in more detail, if you are trying to fit stuff in the sides and want to trim it a little bit to make bigger. Well sorry to say it will not be easy and you will likely never be able to stain it the same to match. If you can take the back panel off and fit the stuff in that way.

          its all pretty solid

what i was hoping to do is remove the sliding doors and router the edge on the middle inside of the cabinets because the doors would cover up the router job

brent maybe you could come up to my place and help out? i'm not the best handyman LOL.. beer for you and you can check out my place finally too

I had the same issue, so I sold the stereo and dvd player and bought a dvd/sound bar and mounted it on the wall.........fixed cabinet issues.

yea pretty much my same issue :/

i'll give it a go and see how it works.. i'm just annoyed how they sell something called a TV/entertainment cabinet that has 0 cable holes in the back! and the shelfs don't fit standard size crap..

so out comes the router and a drill saw to make cable holes

                    oh well haha

looks like i'm going your route alex.. we are gonna go buy a mount and put it on the wall fit what we can (360 and bell box) into the cabinet and the receiver and media center will sit ontop..not much i can do there..
