  • Can this be fixed?

So I got forced onto the shoulder of old banff coach road by some guy "clipping the apex" and hit a rock. Andre at alloy wheel repair said he cannot fix this (technically he said he thought it would break before he got it right 'cause you can't bend aluminum back and forth much) Alberta wheel said they could. Should I bother?

They can fix it, I had a bend worse than that on my corrado and they fixed. It was fairly cheap to fix too if I remember but depends on how nice you want it to look. I told them I only wanted it straightened so they just hammered it out and didn't bother re-coating it or buffing it or anything.

Cool. The only damage is on the inside so it can look like @ss as long as its strong and true.

I did the same as you and Alberta wheel did a great job with my Classix.

ECS tuning currently has a sale on OEM vw wheels. sets of 4 starting from $199. Might be worth a look.

I saw that, there are some pretty crazy deals actually. However, I took the wheel to Alberta Wheel today. $100.00 fix is not so bad. They seemed to think it is no big deal to fix and I should (acording to them today) get it back mid next week.
