  • My traffic nightmare and others as well.

For everyone who lives in the NW and has to take crowchild home every day don't you/aren't you getting extremely annoyed with the stupid sarcee backup EVERYFRUCKINDAY!!!!!!!!!!! at 330 when i come home i end up cruising through it doing about 30ish but after 4pm its backed up insane!! i have one solution but its dickheadish.. get off at the 53rd street ramp.. drive up the hill.. merge back on and skip 200+ parked cars.. it helps but even so that road makes me wanna take a sawed off shotti to work just to start shooting cars to get outta my way.. i heard on the radio the other day the city is gonna expand it to 3 lanes all the way out of the city which would help a ton but they need to make overpasses the whole way..

crowfoot/nosehill is stupid as hell too.. backed up as always 4 second lights and when you come into crowfoot from the west or where i'm from you can't get into the top by the theatre you have to go all the way around onto nosehill and fight with 500000 cars..

i'm done my road rage rant for today:yahsure:

Yes, they will eventually put interchanges all the way to Stoney Tr on Crowchild. The LRT is eventually gonna go to Rocky Ridge as well. Stoney Trail is part of the Calgary Ring Road system and will get a major overhaul. It will eventually be a freeway running up over Calgary connecting Country Hills, Sarcee, Shaganappi, Beddington, Panorama Hills, Harvest Hills, 11 St NE, Deerfoot and continue on to the East Freeway.

I'm not a traffic engineer, but in my opinion they should have spread out the work on Crowchild so you don't get that bottle necking at one intersection. I think they should have worked on one interchange, left one and then put the next interchange in. Then for the next round of work, fill in the gaps.

I am lucky, being in Hidden Valley I can get just about anywhere without using crowchild... on the other hand my tires love that fresh pavement

Actually, I'm not too sure. I usually go by feel. That is a really fun corner though. It's fun coming down Stoney from Country Hills, hitting the off ramp onto Crowchild West and then up Rocky Ridge.
