it's pretty good, i thought there was a hanger where you can just drive around?? either way favorite car so far is 90 camero iroc z, i just saw that there's a 93 mustang cobra. i think i'll buy a e30 m3 next and a rx7. i only have a 300k credits so i need to save for upgrades.
Picked up the collectors edition yesterday, pretty sweet so far, but I am only at driver level 2 so far, and only going automatic at the moment
You need the launch pack add on to get the hanger area, should have come in the game with a code to redeem for I think 10 extra cars and 2 extra tracks.

I have the Xbox wheel and pedals and I personally really like the setup...sure, if it had a clutch and shifter it would be more fun, but the paddles are pretty fun too .
Played FM3 for a couple hours last night and it's awesome (just like FM2 was when it first came out)! And like Blair, I picked up the LCE for the extra cars and tracks.
Only get the game if you don't want to have a life for about 6 months lol...
PS - I heard somewhere that those Fanatec (sp.) setups can run upwards of $500! I'll admit that it is a super cool setup...but f@ck me thats retarded!
I maintain the xbox wheel is not good. It's really fun to use which makes it more frustrating when it doesn't work. Most of them had an issue where the wheel wouldn't center properly so to drive straight you were always fighting the force feedback in one direction and when you steered the other direction there would be a dead spot.
