  • Flat Deck or Trailer.

Hey I need to get a car moved inside the city. Can anyone recommend a towing company. One time I used a guy with a flat deck, who was great, but I can't remember his name or number.

Or does anybody have a truck and a trailer, and enjoy cold beer?

I've used City Wide lots and they are fine. If you want a flat deck just tell the dispatcher that you want a flat deck.

Can't help you with the trailer.

        City's rates, bend over.

Honestly I used them once to take a car from the far south up north, cost more then an entire year of AMA plus now. That was 4 years ago, so I am sure rates have gone up since. I don't have any other suggestions for a flat bed, I just know that city wide is close to the top for rates.

It might be cheaper to rent a car hauler from UHaul, and if you can't tow it, well rent a truck while you are at it. Depending how far you need to go.

Disturbo how much of that $100 was the service call fee?

Ed charged me $120 to bring a car from cochrane to forest lawn. don't know if that was neighbor rate or not, lol.

Ya the last guy I used cost me $40 or $60 bucks to get my car from the NW to the SE. On a flat deck, unfortunatly I cannot remeber his name.

I have been busy this week, but I am going to give Ed a shout soon.

100%Vag, Thanks for the tip, I used Ed on Thursday to move the car, it went great. I think you got the neighbor rate though. I was $100 to move it in the city.

We had a certain tow company a few yearsago unloading a 1 tonne Chevy (locked) off of a flat deck and the driver was bouncing it off and it popped out of gear ( no safety cable either )and did @$6000 of damadge to a 5 tonne behind it
                        luckily no one was hurt
