  • Where are you getting your winter tires?

I know that Tirebob is a great guy, I personally have used his services and it was top notch.

I am looking at buying winter tires as well as swapping the tires I have on my stock wheels to the winters. Nothing crazy just 16 inch Montreal II's 205/55/16.

I have tried calling most of the tire places I could think of and the phones were busy all day long.

It seems that the sudden snow fall has caused quite a panic here.

Again, Tirebob is an excellent suggestion but is there a few alternatives that some members could recommend to me that I might be able to get a hold of this week?

Yesterday I walked into Kal tire and ordered the Nokian's. They come in tomorrow, although since I am mounting them myself I didn't have to wait for the next appointment. Honestly, wait till next Monday, assuming there is not more snow in the forecast many people will forget about the winter tires for a bit.

I'm running the Gislaved Nordfrost 5s on both vehicles. These things are unstoppable in the snow!

These Tires are by far the best but now on Backorder depending on the size.

I just did a price search.
                  Firestone winterforce 135.05
                  Pirelli wintercarving edge195.90
                  Jetzon snowblazer 128.80
                  Hankook Ice bear 139.40
                  Federal himalayas 120.15

16 inch rims...80.00 to mount and balance
4 dollars per wheel for tire tax
                  plus the g.s.t.
oh yeah no g.st on the tire tax.

I can still get them in most sizes, so if anyone wants them, send me a message and let me know what you need. Our dealership gets awesome pricing on them!

Gislaved's can be purchased from Valentine Volvo, however I was quoted almost 2800 bucks??!!?? Seemed a little steep unless they are throwing in another set of 17" sport wheels.
