ECS now ships USPS

Good news for people ordering from ECS tuning. They will now ship USPS so no more getting hosed on brokerage fees from UPS. If I can get it past the wife a BBK might be in my future

they've actually always shipped USPS if you call and ask.

No brokerage, but you still get hit with boarder duties.....I had to pay $30 at Canada Post the other day.

I emailed and called before I ordered the floor mats for the Audi. Their response was very clear that they did not ship USPS. This was in September of 2007 (yay, the Audi had it's last payment last month!)

The reason I posted this is that I'm on their mailing list and they sent something out Oct 1 saying that they now ship USPS.

weird. i had no issues ordering brake stuff from them in the past and requesting USPS first class priority shipping. i just called up my contact that used to work there and they sorted it out.

as for paying duties. You will have to pay that on any package regardless of the shipper if its for non-NAFTA goods.

Yep, duty and GST are unavoidable (legally) but at least brokerage fees are gone... that was always my biggest problem with ECS.

UPS pisses me off so much with their brokerages. to the point i avoid them like the plague, or just pay the VIP amount and have it air overnight and they waive it altogether. such a petty fee, which can be a large % of the cost of your product
