screw winter, screw snow, screw ice, screw bmw x-drive.

I was fine until suddenly the x-drive went nuts on trying to "help" me correct myself instead it threw me into a wild fishtail and down a steep 12ft long ditch into a tree or two.

not for sliding in a ditch when its icy.. its like hitting a deer..

blame in on the city of calgary for poor infrastructure maintenance

new fender.. new mirror.. fix dent on door or new door
damage on lower bumper and possible wheel/suspension and hood damage

i bet thats like 5k easily to repair

insurance doesnt like to loose, his rates will go up, it's a claim...
I'm not entirely sure on this but I think if you hit a deer then insurance rates dont go up, but i've never filled a claim like this (hitting a tree/slippery road) so I may be wrong

It's still driving too fast for conditions. A deer is a surprise that jumps out in front of you. Not so much for a tree. Plus they'd take one look at his car and he'd get raped. Best to do it privately.
