Put the wifes on last Friday, and threw on my cheapo Nordics on my jetta the week before. Went to Kal tire and ordered some Hakka's 5 w/Studs for the jetta that come in tomorrow. I have some access to a changer and balancer, probably saved me $200 on the cost of the tires.

Found this morning worse, need a push at one point and the traction control was going bananas but I made it safe and sound again, hope the same for the rest of you and it warms up a bit, flurries my ass!

Yeah was on Stoney trail this morning at 7 am dropping the wife off at the C train station off of nose hill and yeah it was not pretty. Big trucks were getting stuck half way up the hill and of course it was a choose your lane as nobody could tell where the lanes were. Oh well, 3 days and the t shirts will be back on.

I'm pretty much ready to start pouring sugar in the gas tank of every car I find with summer tires on it after this morning.
There were no accidents, just idiots stuck on hills.
I avoid hills as I know it is a bad idea, if I had no choice then I would have probably opted for transit. I do feel bad getting caught but this is way more snow then expected.

This morning took about 30% longer than yesterday, I say that because I left earlier and arrived at the same time. It was slow as hell coming down Sarcee, it took me just shy of 45 minutes to go from Country Hills to John Laurie. After that Crowchild was a slightly faster parking lot, thankfully I still bailed out at Brisebois and then also at 13th ave.
My favourite sight was some guy in a brand new Camaro, he kept gunning his car trying to go across Sarcee (before the hill), and would only spin his tires and fishtail out the entire time. What a fool.
