    Re: Jumbo Wild Petition

A bit unrelated but wasn't there a report on the news about them trying to get powered watercraft off the Windermere lake? That would be a big blow to the area.

If someone can find me a good deal on property there (yea right) though let me know haha.

      Re: Jumbo Wild Petition

Its hard to say how big a blow that would be. When I was really young, there used to be all kinds of sailing and windsurfing and un-powered boats going. I think that would pick up again rather quickly. But yeah.. that would come with controversy for sure. Personally, I wouldn't mind too much, but I know lots of guys who would be a little pissed.

        Re: Jumbo Wild Petition

IMO it would be a disaster.. but then again Im someone who weather dependant is on the lake wakeboarding every day... and for 5 years it was my livelyhood.
While I think there needs to be some sort of permit/usage fee to help maintain the Lake ecosystem.. completely banning motorized boats is a mistake. (or limiting HP/speed limits etc)

I am glad to see a healthy debate on this subject! I wasn't sure if anyone on these boards would even be familiar with this issue.

Otherwise this wouldn't even be a discussion. They have access to many metrics to assist with their decision.
You are correct those are mostly opinions...however my opinions regarding all things skiing are never wrong . Panorama is a great hill, good lifts, good park last year. But they lack the one key resource, snow.

Once again an opinion, but it doesn't seem that EIA really make a difference. If the government wants something to go forward it will.

Thanks again to everyone for you replies.
