Ha thats awesome - I thought they were US only and we'd only get the lovely 2.0 SX (with 140 horses under your foot!).

Glad I was wrong - and even though it's "just a Neon" it's faster than pretty much every car here.

Nah QuA is right - I checked dodge.ca before I posted. Under 28G for a loaded SRT. Pricey when you figure my jetta was about that much but again, way faster. It's over 10 grand cheaper than a normal rex. 250 torque factory - and you can get the track kit for 300+ with warranty. Crazy.

I remember when that car came out in the US I was so shocked. That car is way faster than most people think, the official "stock" time for the 1/4 is 13.9s... the same as a 2002 Porsche 911... and I am sure you can squeeze more out of it. If it had been out when I bought my Jetta...

Nobody wants a ricey neon when they can get a AWD subie instead? They do if they've only got 3/4 of the money...

If dodge wanted to spend more time on the interior the car would be sweet. However it would've probablly costed well over $30,000 if that was the case.

well mopar has 3 stages of kits lined up for the SRT4, with warranty. right now only the first stage is released, and i think its just bigger injectors and a chip.. but for $400 or whatever it is, thats 20-30hp. stage 2 is being released next year and 3 after that.

stage 3 will have a 300hp car with warranty for only a few g's more than stock.

Best thing about the 1.8T is that I can figure out how the engine works. Looking under the hood if the STI I just get confused.

True, the SRT4 looks pretty damn amazing though, I would definitely consider one.

Here's a rather lengthy "discussion" (for lack of a better term) on some dyno results for the SRT4.

If I was looking for another car, I'd consider one. Has the potential to be an autocross class killer I think.
