does this mean they will actually perform some maintenance on the track?
will the city do any publicity planning to get more spectators out? perhaps some advertising even? or at the least, some audience participation on local events (i.e. at secret street). might be a good opprotunity to cut down on street racing if they provide an area for a weekly show'n'shine for $2 entry. that way the kids who just want to show off their ride can hang out.
it'd be nice if there was a place to provide for feedback that someone actually read.
So far its just the land is not going to turn into a landfill yet.
Maintence to the track and so on will be dependant on whats running and if anyone or companies step up.
To my knowledge, only secret street is run by race city. Everything else is private events.
with the extension for 5 years you will likely see some work done on the track and some more advertising $$$. its been tough to convinve anyone to spend money on fixing stuff when every year has been the "last year race city will be open".
bronco is a f.ucking dick and needs to go.

Bronco needs to leave. In fact would like to see the entire house cleaned.
What have gotten from the current admin? Tax hike, traffic calming ********, more bylaws and clamp downs on rafting on the river, stupid bylaws like the foul language and behavior bylaw. Why waste so much time making bylaws that will never be enforced?
We have lots of car enthusiasts in this town, and possibly the worst track out of any other major city in Canada. Would the city flow a little bit of cash race-city way? No, but instead they must build a 25Million dollar pedestrian bridge for folks too lazy to walk the little extra ways to one of several other bridges.
Just want a few people to get seriously injured or die from street racing, then perhaps we might see some different points of view. Although I doubt it. Instead they will just close Race City as they will see as it acts as encouragement for people to build fast cars.
IMO even with a 5 year extension it will be hard for Race City management to invest in long term growth, 5 years is not very long for a business. If I owned it I wouldn't do any major upgrades with only maybe 3 or 4 years after the construction is finished for my revenue to pay them off.
Sadly i have heard that the lease is not extended for another 5 years it just allows the city (Dave BullshitBronco) and Art (Race City) to negotiate a new lease for 5 years. So Bronco will just make it to expensive and most likely the track will still close.
