they were ludicrous to begin with. The ambiguity of the laws, coupled with the insanely harsh penalties meant a lot of circumstances were overblown and the resulting consequences were far and above what was "fair"

Mini Van moms everywhere are rejoicing as they now won't be stuck on the side of the 401 with 4 kids while their van is being towed. Yeah I understand the reason, never agree'd with the law though. The worst part about the whole law is that the reason it was put in place, the circumstances were revealed to be a cause of drinking and driving, not speeding.
