You should add in that it's an old english announcer, who has to make the observation that this one seems lost and confused, since it's strayed from the natural pack.

That's annoying considering how many bikes are on that road. Spirited driving is fine assuming you can handle it and keep it in your lane and not go flying around blind corners.

His driving skills are obviously bad -- he crashed and then he tried to drive straight up and out of the ditch -- why not gradually drive out parallel to the road?!?!?!?

and the bad part about it is that he tried to show off and ended up looking like a douche. LoL

Re: Lotus Exige S Crash on Old Bannf Coach Road

He drove along the hill parallel to the road, but eventually was forced to try and crest the hill and get back onto the road. The car was having issues with traction on the grass which caused the back end to slide back down the hill and point the car straight up the hill. The owner tried giving it gas to get up the hill but the lack of traction caused the car to slide back down the hill.

This happend again as he tried summiting the hill for a second time, with similiar results.
The third time he threw all the traction control settings the car has onto full, and with a lot of gas was able to make it to the top of the hill.

I wouldn't have said he was trying to show off or be a douche about it, he was just trying to get his car up and out of the grass.

I went back last night to scout some more shooting locations, it seems there is a fair amount of gravel in the exit of corner where the merge and straight through lanes come together. I can see specifically where the lotus lost traction and gravel on the road looks to be a large culprit. I'm sure the speed may have been an issue but the amount of debris on the road where he came through the corner and got back on the gas leads me to believe driver error wasn't 100% at fault.

not saying hes a douche because he was getting his car out...i mean do what u gotta do..but if he'd drive the car like 100ish kms/hr instead of 200kms/hr then maybe he wouldnt have had this problem. He couldnt control the car at that speed, therefore he's an idiot for attempting to.

I've lived same house my whole life and i know that corner seems like you can take its fast, and you can, but the guard rail shocks you and kinda makes you freak out a little, that combined with loose gravel could easily have done it.

You guys have no idea how many cars have flipped/crashed/ blown up(yes a tent trailer flipped and the propane exploded) on that corner.

lol you said the guy lives just down the road from your house right? he must know that the corner is how it is, so therefore he shouldn't have attempted to do mission impossible in his Lotus...that's what i call cocky and im glad he went off the road with it...only way he's going to learn to not drive like an idiot because there are corners which you cant take no matter what you drive @ 200 kms/hr...but this convo can go on forever so im jus sayin my opinion.
I know so many other just like this guy, drive expensive cars, drive cocky and end up smashing them because they think they own the road or something and they think they can do anything in their cars. I laugh and laugh every single time something like this happens
