    Re: very first car

Ooh I should add the car I learned stick on was two vehicles. An '89 Ranger and a '98 Civic. The Ranger had no power steering, the clutch was destroyed, you had to completely floor the gas it to even get it into first gear.

      Re: very first car

First car was an 81 Rabbit, I had the mod bug early on as well. Put in a decent stereo and tinted the windows, also slammed it on 2.5" intrax springs w/ stock shocks/struts. Drove like **** bottoming out and bouncing all over the place but looked damn cool in the mean time LOL! First vehicle I learned to drive in was an old Ford Courior the folks got me for bombing around their property on I mean learning how to drive standard on when I was young. Huge holes in the floorpan meant you had to watch for rocks and sticks flying into the cab but me and my friends used to fly around and beat the sh!t out of that thing Dukes of Hazzard style, haha!

1995 Toyota Corolla 4 door. THREE speed Automatic. Bombproof. Gutless. Owned it for 8 years. Got a speeding ticket going 180 km/hr in it. I f*ck you not, I was actually going 200 previous to the radar hit.

Sold it to a good friend in Uni, the thing just won't stop, has 300k on it now. Like that loyal girlfriend, that puts up with your sh!t.

learned stick on a combination of a hyundai pony, mid '80s dodge 1 ton, and a mid '70s ford 5 ton with a 10 speed (and next to nothing for brakes.. lol Downshifting was key).

yeah, not sure what had more play in it... the steering or the gearbox.

81 Plymouth Horizon Mizer Hatchback 4 Speed Standard. What a P.O.S. but I bought it for 120 bucks and it did me for like 40 000km. Oh fun times, the stereo was like fifteen times as much as the car cost me.
But on the bright side it had a VAG engine that could almost do 150 lol

Like this with a rolled on black paint job. Yikes

my dad gave me his 81 grand prix when i was 16, but the first car i bought was a 84 honda prelude. i still see that style of prelude around and would buy one that is in good shape. so easy to fix

                          Tied between a 75 Jeep CJ5 and a 83 Mustang GT Turbo.

I'd like to get that mustang back but I lost track of it, went through 2 owners after me (both of which I knew), they are very rare though and mine was in good shape.

I believe that would be a svo mustang, and yea somewhat rare.

1st car for me '86 taurus, first (and possibley last) ford I owned.

Nope, not an SVO, those were 84, this was an 83.

83 Mine was white with the hood stripe and grill and whatnot in black. Oh yea, and those double 3 spokes were METRIC! So only one type of Michelin tires worked and they were more expensive than performance tires are now.

                              84 (SVO)
