                    Re: Garage Build

will definitely keep the walls out of the moisture, and depending on your drainage situation, it will keep melting snow from running in under the wall. Also, if I have that curb wall, I can pretty much wash out the whole pad.

Yes to shelves. Not sure yet though on how I'll do it. Also want a bit of a work bench against one wall.

hey Stefan can you PM me or facebook me? i'll pick you brain for the same ideas..

i got mine 75% sanded yesterday until i got annoyed by the dust and will finish this week and get it painted up also

but i'm going to build a workbench area at the back wall with recycling/garbage under it and a space for the pressure washer/mower to sit.. then shelves along each wall to hold christmats and camping crap..

then 3 wheel racks (like the tirerack ones) on the one wall to hold all the damn summer/winter wheels i have in the house.

                          now a question

i'm pretty much done sanding my mud job now.. for a first time i'm happy but obviously its not prostyle perfect

i was thinking of doing a texture to the walls/ceiling like orange peel or knockdown and painting it..

a guy quoted me 1500 bucks over the phone!!! WTF LOL

maybe i'll just paint it and live with the odd funky spot.. also considering the walls will have crap on them anyways and a few posters too

or i rent the dealy and try it myself hahahaha

                          thoughts?

You can probably find a paint that is more conceiling. Be less work, and by the time you have all your shizzle hung up everywhere, you won't notice the funky spots that much anyways.
