CD/DVD Rips

I have a bunch of CD's and DVD's that I want to finally get around to installing on my media center. I've used media player before to rip my CD's but wondering if there is anything better? I'll want to use them on my ipod as well. Ideally I'd also like to get the artwork (which you can get when using media player).

Also, as far as ripping DVD's, I've had limited success getting around the security. I used a couple programs but they made my vista machines really unstable.

Any recommendations appreciated.

http://www.dbpoweramp.com/ Worked really well for me. It even adds the cover art to the file and fills out all the ID tags.
