It's weird seeing your speed. Sure doesn't feel as fast as the thing tells you. Skied with a GPS last year for a little bit. We had over under bets, before we tried it out, guessing between 60-80. When it popped up at 120+ we were surprised as hell.

i was surpriesed to see how fast i could get going, earlier in the year we hit 117km/hr and i thought that was fast. its crazy how accurate the app is as well, driving in my and other cars it says the speed within akm or 2 from the spedo on the car.

haha ya at 127 im litterally hanging on for dear life and hoping a ski doesnt pop off, its a hell of a lot of fun. and that on park/all mountain skis with some baggy ski stuff on, would be insane to get on some properly waxed race skis and suit!

It is pretty crazy thinking about it. I lived at a ski hill for a season, and watching racer kids and parents. If someone found out their kid was speeding, doing 120 in an 80 zone they would freak. Its unsafe, could have crashed the car.

Yet they push their 14 yr kids, wearing a thin veil of spandex, with little shoulder pad, averaging well over 100km/h, on a 60ft wide course.

I got a chance to go for a few laps on some WC super-g skis and some GS skis. Absolutely insane. Speed just comes out of nowhere.
