  • A day dyno?

i'm not big into dyno numbers as a competition .. but i figure maybe as an event to get everyone together we could arrange one? we could use my friend's facility @ lightspeedinnovations because he has an AWD dyno .. that way we can include everyone . and he has a bbq at the shop that we could use .. grill up some burgers and sausages?

i dunno about prices but it'd be less then compariable . but if it's only going to end up being 5 or 6 cars then it's not wasting his time .

also on fridays is when he has his "club nights" . all makes and models show up and hang out and talk about cars . we watch top gear in the lobby on the tv and chill on the couches . it's kinda neat to wonder around the garage bays and look at some of the project cars that are going on . so if we did it on a saturday then we could go up friday and spend the night .

anyone think this is a good idea?

Im in.. not sure I could do a two day event though...

Maybe get an estimate of cost and we can go from there. I owuld think we'd have to consider the cost and time to get up there as well.....

What about Calgary Autoworks, they have an AWD dyno now as well? Not good for the Edmonton people but closer for others??

I guess it would have to be a pretty good deal from Lightspeed.. when you figure in gas back and forth.. and the extra time it would take. I'd say run it by him and see what he says... and someone else can either call Reigel or Calgary Autoworks?

Unless you are driving a Porsche i don't think Reigel will respond i am down for either city of course i find the Red Deer one easier as it is across the street. If people want to come out the night before I have plenty of room at the house for you guys to stay (and beer).

O wait do i need a running car for this!

                            Re: A day dyno?

i figured red deer would be a good place because it's accessable for calgary and edmonton . plus das auto ppl will probably come and it'd be good to see chris . it'd be a good cruise up if we went together . their location is out of the way so there is lots of room for parking . and their facility is huge and spacious with lots of fun projects to observe and talk about . lots of engine builds and custom stuffs .

he's not super fond of dyno days because most clubs are real cheap . and sadly, it does cost money to have fun sometimes . ppl have a bit more money on this site and are willing to have some fun it seems . which i like!

i'll be up there this friday so i'll run it by cam and see what he says . he always says yes to me, but it's up to me to determine if he really means it or if he's just being nice lol .

roger, u gonna be around friday night if i'm at lightspeed?
