  • Mod Friendly Insurance

I am looking for an insurance company that will insure the full value of a modified car. All of the work has been recently done, and I have receipts for pretty much all of the parts, and labor. therefore there shouldn't be to much confusion over the value of the car.

Who have you guys gotten the best value from? I am looking for the cheapest, but also the best company to work with if I ever need to use the insurance.

    Thanks!

You have to get the car appraised, then insure for the value of the car.
Thats what All-State told me anyways.. and they were cool with it.

we use anthony clark and I had to get mine appraised aswell to insure it for what "it was worth". They are happy to insure as long as you have receipts

how much in receipts are we talking here, because if its under $5000 you SHOULD be covered anyway. anything and above that you would eat.

What you also need to remember is insurance companies value OEM parts at a higher cost than aftermarket performance parts a lot of the time. And most of the time its because they are more expensive to replace.
Just because you have $5000 in receipts doesn't mean you improved your car by $5000. YOu need to think of the cost of the parts you took off, and what the difference is between the parts you put on.

For example rims. Say OEM rims are $250/corner. You put some on that are $500/corner for $2000 total. WHile you think you just dumped 2g's into rims insurance will tell you its only half of that.

I am looking at around 20g in receipts by the time we have added them all up. Where would you get it appraised and how much would it cost?
