  • Compression Tester

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone had a compression tester I could borrow or if I could persuade someone to come over and run a check for me for beers? I'm sure it's easy but haven't done it before.

    Thanks!

if you buy a spark plug socket, it will have a rubber insert to pull the plug (maybe $5). Or, you can purchase one of those $1.99 magnet-on-an-expandable-stick .. they're a good friend!

          Re: Compression Tester

If you need a compression i would have to ask WHY?
leak down test would be better or a vacumn gauge.

Haha, no I forgot a word, need the spark plug WIRE puller, a dumb special tool for the VR6.

I just want to check things out before I take it out for a good run. Leakdown is a lot harder to do in my garage otherwise I would.
