  • Quick speaker question

    Can someone please tell me the size of the front and rear speakers in my 04 Jetta?

    Greatly appreciated.

      I think it's 1" tweeters as well.

        You will need 1.5" spacers to mount them right.

          Depends on the speaker. My fronts needed about an inch, but the rears didn't need any iirc (Alpine Type R).

              Its not about the dept of the speaker, it is about getting the cone closer to the grill so sound is not lost into the door skin. That is what you see those gaskets around the stock speakers.

                Gotcha, I was just clearing the window in the down position, not trying to get it out as far as possible.
