Thats a good way to cook your electronics. Running them at sustained low voltage like that is every bit as bad as a power surge and can, and will cause damage to whatever you are powering.
Its a neat experiment on something you don't really care about, but don't try this with your plasma or LCD.Mike - 2011 A4 S-Line
